U-15 Boys Pacesetter Invitational Champions

The Vardar East U-15 Boys went 5-0 and defeated the host Pacesetters 3-0 in the final.  The victory kept the team undefeated for the season, winning the Alliance FC Spring Invite and going undefeated so far during the season.  Their overall record for the spring is now 14-0-1.  Good job and keep up the good work.

The Vardar East U-12 Boys played well over the weekend and earned a berth in the finals. They went 3-1-1 in pool play, defeating a good TFA team and the Rush Swoosh, and tyingMaumee to get there.  Congratulations Boys on a good showing over the weekend.

  U-9 Girls Qualify for Indoor National Tournament

                               

The U-9 Girls team played in the Indoor Nationals Regional Tournament and qualified for the National Tournament in February.  They beat Novi, Canton in a very exciting game by one goal and then beat PSG Gators Orange 10-4 to win their bracket.  In the final they faced a very good Hawks team and unfortunately lost in overtime 6 - 5. The Vardar East team played without guest players and proved again that they are the team to beat in this area.


 

 U-14 Boys are MSPSL Classic 3 Division Champs

  The U-14 Vardar East Boys went 9-0 in the MSPSL Classic 3 Division.   Great Job Coach Christensen and Great Job BOYS!!


 

  U-9 Girls Black MYSL Premier Division Champs

 

   

The Vardar East U-9 Girls Black went a perfect 8-0 and are the Champions of the MYSL Premier Division.

This season the U9 Black team tied one game at the GSSC tournament against a U10 Div 1 team while winning all their other games at the GSSC tournament and the Vardar Cup.

The U9 girls will be entering the spring season in the U10 division of MYSL.

 U-11 Girls Champs of MYSL Red Division

The U-11 Girls went 9-1-2 and were Champions of the MYSL Red Division.  The Girls were also Champions of the Capital Area Classic Tournament. Great Job Girls!!  


 

 U-18 Girls Champions at Great Lakes Soccer Challenge

                  

On September 22nd & 23rd, the U-18 Grils played in teh Great Lakes Soccer Challenge.  They took 1st place with a record of 3 wins adn 1 tie.  The final game went into double overtime where our girls won 2-1.  Great Job Girls!  Great Job Coach Mike!


 U-11 Girls Win Capital Area Classic

The Vardar East U-11 Girls are Champions of the Capital Area Classic Tournament which took place in Lansing the weeekend of Sept. 21 - 23.

 U-10 Girls Black Undefeated at Vardar Cup

 

 

The Vardar East U-10 Girls Black team went undefeated at the Vardar Cup. The U-10 White team also went 2-1 for a very successful Cup.

 U-10 Girls Win Genesee Cup

The Vardar East Black u-10 Girls went undefeated to take the Genesee Cup in thier Diviision.  The Vardar East White U-10 Girls went 3-1-0 and took 3rd place in the Division.  Great Job Girls.

The Vardar East Black U-11 Boys went undefeated in the round robin portion, but lost 2-1 in the Finals to Genesee.  Great Job Boys..

 

                 5/31  U 16 Boys Win the Liberty Cup Tournament

 

Memorial     

 

On Memorial Day weekend, the U 16 Boys played at the Liberty Cup Tournament in  Libertyville, IL.  They won the Championship Flight by tieing Arlington Aces Primier (1-1) due to rain.  They then defeated Libertyville Premier (4-0) and Hoffman United Galaxy (5-0). They they took care of Real FC in the Championship Game by the score of (2-0)

  5/27 U 09 Girls Win at Westlake Invitation

              Westlake

 

 

On Memorial Day weekend, the U 09 Girls played at the Westlake Invitational Tournamnet in  Westlake, OH.  They won their group by defeating the Mentor Fireballs (7-2), Medina Lady Knights (10-2) and the Avon Lake Shorty Shoregals (11-2).  They lost their last game to Westlake Warriors (4-5), but by virtue of having the best goal differential they won the U-09 Girls Green Division.

5/27  U 11Boys are Runner-Up at Westlake Invitation

On Memorial Day weekend, the U 11 Boys played at the Westlake Invitational Tournamnet in  Westlake, OH.  They won their division by defeating the Westlake Strikers (7-0), Broadview Heights (6-0) and the Springfiled Titans (5-0).  They played a great final vs. WAZA FC 96 but lost on an overtime goal (0-1).

4/23 - Alliance Spring Invite Tournament 

Vardar East '97 Champions at Alliance FC Spring Invite

The Vardar East U-10 Boys opened their Spring Season by winning the Alliance Spring Invite Tournament just outside of Grand Rapids this past weekend. 

They prevailed Saturday by beating Novi Jaguars 7-2 and then losing to Alliance FC 5-3.  Their 3rd match on Sunday against NWSC ended in a 2-1 victory to put them in the Semi-Finals.  In the Semi-Final, they defeated the Michigan Future Stars 2-1 which put them in a Re-match with Alliance FC in the Final. 

Vardar East U-10 Boys had to play the final with only 1/2 hr rest from the Semis . They scored early in the first and then held on with a great defensive effort to WIN the final by the score of 1-0. Great effort boys!!!


 

4/23 Alliance Spring Invite Tournament

 

The Vardar East U-14 Girls had a heartbreaking loss in the finals of their division with a 6-5 loss on Penalty Kicks.  Great Job Girls!!!

 

The U-9 and U-10 girls advance to the semi-finals but both lost in a valiant effort from both teams.  Great Job !!!!

 

Thanks goes out to all the Parents and Players for a very successful tournament run.  


   

Girls Coaching Director receives A license!

 

Miriam Hickey took the US Soccer A license course in January at the Home Depot Center in California and passed the course.  The A license is the highest diploma a coach can attain in the US.  She was the only female coach at the course.  We are extremely proud of her accomplishments and are looking forward to a bright future with our club.
